bacon greaseWith a base of coconut oil and smoky magic, there’s no limit to what you can use your Magic Vegan Bacon Grease for. It’s perfect for frying up your greens, as a margarine sub in your biscuits, or for refried beans. 1. I usually don’t enter…but…irresistible! Just the oxymoron is worth it! I’d spread it on charred bruschetta because that was a Hungarian breakfast when I was growing up. You may cringe now.

  2. I want this so much!! I have been anxiously awaiting the return of MVBG, ever since they had to escalate their production to meet demand. The first thing I’d make is a big mess of collards. But after that, I really want to fry homemade tortillas in it!

  3. I was born and raised in the south and would put this in a ton of things! The first things to come to mind was using it as (another) secret ingredient in my vegan sausage gravy & biscuits, maybe in some collards, or in some tofu eggs! Oh gosh or potatoes!

  4. My mom sometimes used bacon fat or salt pork sometimes to make Filipino fried rice. I think this would make a nice vegan substitute I would actually enjoy!

  5. I would definitely use it to make my Nanny’s Sautéed Yellow Squash and Onions. It always seems like it is missing something since I can’t use bacon fat. I would also use it as the fat to make a proper white gravy for my husband because he loves biscuits and gravy. Now I can make it healthier 🙂

  6. This sounds like an excellent addition to many a recipe…. I love the refried beans suggestion though!

  7. I feel like the possibilities are endless with this, but the first thing I would do would be to saute some collard greens in this. Gosh it sounds good!

  8. Oh wow, I’ve been curious about this! I’d probably make collards since I can’t get them in Germany, gotta make the most of being back in America. Either that or biscuits because…well…biscuits!

  9. I don’t care for green beans but remember loving my mom’s made with bacon [eww] grease. I’d like to revisit them with Magic Vegan Bacon Grease.

  10. I think this would be great in hashbrowns and omlettes. But it also could make an interesting addition to frosting. A smoky maple frosting maybe. Too far?

  11. My neighbor growing up made the best ever refried beans that of course had lard in them and bacon on top. We had them every christmas with her amazing tamales. I would try out some refried beans and definitely biscuits.

  12. I looooove this product and have been using it in everything. One dish I want to try is popping popcorn in this stuff! Yum!

  13. oooooh man. how about some yummy chocolate chip pancakes! with a side of pan fried home fries. all cooked in magic vegan bacon grease. yum!

  14. I’m thinking hot bacon dressing maybe. as a kid loved when my mom made hot bacon dressing in the cast iron skillet and then would just add the leaf lettuce in….

  15. I’ve never used bacon grease in cooking, but I’d probably try it in making vegan bacon, cornmeal fritters, cornbread, greens. Oh heck, anything!

  16. What WOULD’NT I make with it?
I’d use it in collard greens, bisquits, pie crust, refried beans, chilli, baked beans, cupcake frosting, pancakes, fries, donuts, baked potatoes, ice cream, pasta carbonara, drizzled on popcorn and in soups. Mmmm now I’m hungry

  17. I would definitely use it for flavoring in my green beans and onions. Another thing I would use it for is to fry my eggs with. Yum!!

  18. I’d use it to veganize the bacon dressing my mom puts on spinach salad at Christmas every year. And/or, I’d fry up some of the coconut french toast from Isa Does It in it.

  19. I have been seeing this stuff all over the internet lately and I’m itching to try it. I would love to fry up some of IsaChandra’s Tofu Scamble in it. And maybe whip up some veggie sausage gravy to ladle over the top. Mmmmmmmm, my mouth is watering!

  20. I’m thinking popcorn would be amazing using this product. Also a dish containing greens and black eyed peas.
