Giveaway – Teapigs
This giveaway is now closed. Congrat’s to our winner Sophie!
I’ve always been into matcha, it’s one of my absolute favourite cupcake flavours, but I stepped the love affair up a notch when I visited Japan earlier this year. I drank matcha soy tea lattes almost every day and they were a revelation. I adore them. This is why I was so excited when London based tea company teapigs suggested doing a giveaway for a Matcha Kit, how wonderful!
The kit includes everything you need to get in a daily matcha fix including a 30g jar of matcha green tea, an electric handheld whisk, a shot glass, a matcha info leaflet and a matcha badge.
To enter please leave a comment below telling us the first thing you’d make with your matcha by 9am GMT tomorrow. Please be sure to leave a valid contact e-mail address so that we can get in touch if you win. The winner will be randomly selected and announced after the giveaway has ended. This competition is open to residents of the UK only.

I literally *just* made a batch of green tea ice cream batter! (Not entering, just saying!)
I would make a huge cup of matcha green tea, then I would use more of the powder to make a green smoothie! Yum!
cupcake frosting! erinwyso@olivesfordinner.com
I would make my matcha smoothie that has banana, watermelon, and spinach in it along with almond milk and protein powder!
I’d just make tea, really. It’s my poison of choice, but I’ve never taken the time to learn about matcha, so first tea, then try that latte you raved about.
I would make green tea cupcakes from the book Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. As well as a great flavour, Matcha green tea powder provides a powerful arsenal of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids in a way no other green tea can. It may even help reduce or moderate mental stress responses. We could all do with some of that!

Ooh I love Matcha! I would make some Matcha, Macadamia & White Chocolate Biscotti! Yum!
I’d make matcha roasted pumpkin seeds to snack on.
I never actually made a cup of tea from matcha! I’ve always used it in baking and smoothies. But I would make a cup of tea if I had that electric mixer!
Seeing as I’ve never had matcha before, I would try a simpler cup of tea and see where we go from there!
I would make Matcha, White Tea truffles which I’ll be posting a recipe for later this week!
Add it to scrambled tofu! Mmm… 🙂
Cupcakes! 😀
Matcha ice cream! With my new ice cream maker ????
The green tea cupcakes are amazing, but I’d probably do something new like matcha ice cream!
Oooh! Teapigs Matcha tea..
I would make matcha tea to drink whilst making matcha cupcakes and matcha ice cream!!
And then if I still have room some matcha truffles to go with a matcha smoothie..
As you can tell I love matcha!!!
I have never had matcha before so I am intrigued, I think I would start with a shot to get a sense of the flavor then try it in a smoothie!
Matcha ice cream for sure!!
Sweet rice matcha mochi with matcha ice cream inside

Green tea soy custard. I know it sounds odd but it is amazing.
I’ve always wanted to try Matcha, but never go round to it!
So I go with a tea first then Matcha ice cream
I would make some truffles.
I adore matcha! I would drink a nice hot bowl of it and then make some Green Tea Ice Cream.
I’ve been wanting to make the Matcha cupcakes from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over The World for the past 4 years, but haven’t been able to get myself to invest in a whole jar of the stuff for one recipe, so I’d make those immediately!
matcha granola!
I have yet to bake with Matcha but I love it in lattes. I would first do something sweet, perhaps a Matcha Cupcake with Agave Frosting or perhaps Whoopie Pies with Matcha Cream Filling. Thanks for the giveaway!
I had matcha cookies five years ago and am still thinking about them, so those.
Cupcake frosting
I would make matcha biscuits and a matcha smoothie! I miss these 2 things a lot, being on a student budget makes affording matcha difficult!
I’ve not tried it yet so I guess I’d make it the traditional way (follow the instructions on the box).
I would make a matcha sponge and mix some with vanilla Swedish glace to make a matcha artic roll!
