Tiffany: Yum. I love coconut milk-based ice cream. A concoction of rocky road meets chocolate fudge brownie would be amazing.
The Saucy Coconut: It’s simple, but delicious: strawberry ice cream – could be either soy or coconut-based. (Though I love coconut, obv.)
Vegan Linda: I’m on a huge chai kick so I say a chai flavor would be awesome.
Cathy: That’s easy Pumpkin Pie! My second choice would be ‘nog.

Turtle Mountain (more commonly known as So Delicious) has been cranking out dairy-free treats for 20 years, that’s back when we had to hike five miles uphill (both ways) just to get a block of tofu.  With that in mind, it’s no surprise at the sheer amount of products they have today.  I went to the website and counted, they have 21 flavors of soy ice cream and 17 flavors of coconut ice cream! My favorite is the Coconut Cherry Amaretto, personally.  I have trouble finding more than plain vanilla or chocolate around here, but I have been known to take a cooler with me when visiting people so I can bring back a few pints to tide me over.

They also have a ton of frozen novelties, creamer, sorbets, yogurts, and coconut-based beverages.  And here is the exciting news, the beverage line is about to get a little bigger…

That’s right, So Delicious is bringing us a soy-free option for the holiday beverage season! This isn’t great just for people with soy allergies, I know some people don’t like the taste of soy milk at all, flavored or not.

So Delicious has offered to send five lucky people each two VIP free product coupons – good for ANY of their products.  To enter, simply leave a comment letting us know what flavor of So Delicious soy/coconut ice cream you would invent if you had the chance (here is their product page so you can see what they already have).  Winners will be chosen tonight at midnight, CST, because I took a nap instead of posting this earlier.  Open to US residents only.

  1. In my pre vegan days Ben and Jerry;s New York Fudge Super Chunk was my favorite. So I would invent the New and Improved New York Fudge Super Chunk!!

  2. I’d love a chocolate blueberry ice cream — either blueberry ice cream with chocolate chips and fudge swirls or a chocolate ice cream with blueberries in it. Mmm.

  3. I already love their products……but….I have one…..Peanut butter ice cream with chocolate fudge, chocolate covered peanuts, and peanut butter swirls. Ohh….and throw in some caramel.

  4. Dear anyone from Turtle Mountain who may be reading this: WE NEED YOU IN AUSTRALIA. Specifically, we need your ice creams. I remember seeing them at a couple of places a few years ago, but then they disappeared. I KNOW it is not at the top of a US-based company’s list to export to so far away a market, but I’m sure one of our fabulous vegan grocery stores could help you out with that. PLEASE.

  5. Wow! I knew they were coming out with Greek Yogurt but didn’t realize their line was so vast. We’ve only tried Mint Choco Chip Icecream. I would think it should be more readily available (I mean there’s enough for Vegan and Non-Vegans alike right 😉 ).

  6. I would invent a lavender ice cream with ribbons of chocolate hazelnut butter(coconut milk variety). Maybe a collaboration with Justin’s??? : )

  7. I agree with Sara, butterfinger all the way! Also, a heath bar crunch or rocky road (with huge marshmallows) coconut ice cream would be divine!

  8. I still can’t believe that there’s not a caramel ice cream! I would make a coconut caramel ice cream with ribbons of caramel in it and (optional) brown sugar nuggets. yum!

  9. I love, love, LOVE their chocolate peanut butter swirl ice cream (late night snack of choice – those peanut butter chunks get me every time!) If I were to make my own, however, I’d go with a GF, vegan blueberry cheesecake option (with lots of cheesecake chunks!)- because when I’m not caught with my finger in something chocolate and peanut buttery, my mouth is inevitably full of vegan cheesecake goodness. Mmmmm.

  10. I saw on their site they already have my two faves (PB/choc and green tea). How about Bailey’s flavor? Back in the day Haagen Daz had Bailey’s ice cream…mmmmm

  11. Definitely a black raspberry flavor, but it has to be purple! That was my favorite flavor of ice cream as a kid not because of the taste, but because it was purple.

  12. I would love a nog-flavored base studded with praline pecans. If this can’t happen commercially, I promise to do it at home with my ice cream maker. And blog about it, natch.

  13. I LOVE So Delicious Coconut Milk ice cream, and my dream flavor would be pistachio with dark cherries running through it.

  14. Peanut butter and jelly. When I was still eating ice cream, I mourned whe Ben & Jerry sent this flavor to the graveyard.

  15. Yay! I love So Delicious products. All of the flavors that they have are phenomenal.
    I would love to see a pumpkin flavor of some sort, in honor of the season! And maybe a salted-carmel flavor as well! Mmmm…

  16. I would invent a chocolate truffle flavor made of dark chocolate ice cream with a ribbon of dark chocolate fudge weaved through it and bits of raspberry jam mixed in.

  17. My favorite pre-vegan ice cream was called Moose Lake Fudge (I think it may be a local thing…) – vanilla with mini peanut butter cups, and piles of fudge…oh, man, it was awesome. Would love to see a vegan version!

  18. Peppermint stick ice cream!!! My all time favorite! Miss it, but refuse to eat diary when your products are better!!!

  19. Mine would be a coconut-based banana ice cream with swirls of caramel and toasted pecans. One of the best ice cream sundaes I ever had was vanilla ice cream, with fresh bananas, caramel sauce and nuts. Would love to capture that in a vegan ice cream!

  20. Oh my god, I want the Cherry Amaretto Ice Cream right now! So badly I’m considering guilting Roo into going out and getting it for me. Cravings = girlfriend behaving terribly.

  21. Well I would go with Rocky Road, that’s a comfort flavor that I just never grew out of, but miss terribly due to now being allergic to dairy.

  22. LOVE their products and am super excited about the holiday treats! I would love a “coconut cream pie” So Delicious ice cream… coconut flakes and pie crust? Yum!

  23. Chocolate and coffee ice cream swirled together with chunks of chocolate in the form of smiling…uh…pigs laced through with huge swaths of fudge as well as ribbons of caramel and marshmallow. Come on, So Delicious. Your public wants this, they just might not know it yet.Please allow me to test this flavor early and often!

  24. I really love the fruit-sweetened soy delicious ice creams. But I have to admit, I kind of long for the French Silk Dreyers Light of my pre-vegan days. If So Delicious could master that marvelous mixture of mocha chips, vanilla, coffee and chocolate ice cream flavors, I would be a happy duckling. Also, peanut butter cup. Yum.

My favorite flavor is the coconut-based Chocolate Brownie Almond ice cream flavor, but if I could create my own it would be a coconut milk ice cream in chocolate with hazelnuts and the same chocolate flake as in their Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl flavor. I love their products. Thanks for the giveaway!

  26. The chocolate peanut butter It’s Soy Delicious was the first vegan ice cream I had. I’ve tried other ones but I still love the chocolate pb combo. I wish they had a ‘chubby hubby’ equivalent though, or anything with a salty, crunchy in it.

  27. My current favorite vegan ice cream is something I special order at a local restaurant. I would love to be able to eat it at home at my convenience:
    strawberry-chocolate with almonds.

  28. Full-on Coffee ice cream, something that would beat the pants off Haagen-Dazs (as I remember it from long ago before I knew I was allergic to dairy!).

    Those two new beverage flavors sound awesome and I hope I can find them in stores near me!

  29. I would love to see a coconut based ice cream with chocolate swirls, macadamia nuts and candied ginger, mmmmm.

    If that doesn’t happen, I’ll settle for a scoop of everything they have–kitchen sink style!

  31. I would have to say that as the holidays approach, I really am missing a good peppermint or spumoni ice cream. So Delicious, thank you for making such amazing flavors already! I can’t wait to see what is coming up next!

  32. first of all – I have to say how much I love the So Delicious “ice creams” since they denote which are soy free since I have a soy intolerance. I would love to mow through an entire carton of banana oreo soy/dairy free “ice cream” any day. My favorite flavor combo!

  33. Cherry Nirvana purely decadent, but I would add crushed vanilla cookies into the batter.
